Kempe Takes Paris
Kempe Takes Paris on April 8 had over 500 attendees and grossed over $340,000 for The Kempe Foundation.
To kickoff Child Abuse Prevention Month, The Children’s Hospital in conjunction with Kempe lit the blue lights along Children’s Way on March 31.

Kempe also distributed the 30 second superhero public service announcement to all television stations in Denver and Colorado Springs. Click here to see the PSA. Kempe sent the 60 second radio public service announcement to 135 stations throughout Colorado.
Blue Ribbons and Advocacy
In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month (CAPM), giant blue ribbons placed on buildings throughout the Denver Metro Area including the Capitol, City & County Building, Pepsi Center, The Children’s Hospital, Buckley Air Force Base and The Gary Pavilion.
In addition, Kempe distributed hundreds of blue ribbon magnets, wristband keychains, blue ribbon pins, brochures, flyers, handouts and other information about the organization and CAPM.

Kempe Center Names New Director
The Kempe Foundation featured five new Superheroes in public service announcements and on posters distributed throughout the community. The 2011 superheroes are: Carlos Gonzalez, Colorado Rockies; Brian Dawkins, Denver Broncos; Dr. Evie Dennis, Community Leader; Mary Lou Makepeace, Community Leader; and Patricia Barela Rivera, Community Leader.
