IP5280’s 6th Annual Climbing for Kids event will raise money for The Children’s Hospital Foundation and The Kempe Foundation for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect during its annual mountain climb at 6 a.m. on August 12, 2011 at Mount Bierstadt.
The climb will raise funds for both of the children’s foundations through sponsorships, participant registration and donations. This year’s fundraising goal is $100,000. For more information, to register to climb or donate, please visit www.thechildrenshospitalfoundation.org/climbingforkids.
Last year, more than 220 climbers participated in the event, raising nearly $60,000 for the two organizations. The Children’s Hospital used their portion for The Car Seat program, Medical Day Treatment Program and Butterfly Program and The Kempe Foundation used their portion for the Fostering Healthy Futures Program.
IP5280’s Climbing for Kids event is open to climbers of all ages and abilities, including first time climbers, children and dogs on leashes. The event is sponsored by Party City and Colorado Business Bank.
