Kempe Program Receives Check at Last Night’s Rapids Game

Last night, The Kempe Foundation received a check from Kroenke Sports Charities/Colorado Rapids/Teammates for Kids Foundation during a halftime presentation at the Colorado Rapids game.  Jon Kruljac, Foundation Board Chair, and Edward Garrido, Ph.D. researcher for Kempe’s Fostering Healthy Futures (FHF) accepted the check on behalf of the program.  FHF helps abused and neglected 9- to 11-year-old children placed in foster and kinship care learn life skills that will help them deal with the challenges of adolescence and create healthy futures.  This research-based clinical program uses comprehensive assessments, mentoring and advocacy, and therapeutic skills groups to help guide these children.

Thank you Kroenke Sports Charities, Colorado Rapids and Teammates for Kids Foundation for your support!
